Guild Activities
Activities provided by the guild give members a chance to expand their quilting skills, share them
with the community and spend time with other Quilt Lovers.
Show & Tell
Often the most anticipated time of each guild meeting. All members are encouraged to show their latest quilting or sewing projects and tell about their newest tools, tips and techniques.
Workshops
Workshops provide opportunities to learn new techniques and improve skills. Typically the fee for workshops is $3 for members and $5 for non-members. Some workshops may have an additional kit fee. Previous workshops have incorporated hand and machine techniques for a variety of projects, including, machine quilting, paper piecing, garment embellishment, purses, tote bags and appliqué.
Block of the Month
New in 2011, each participating member selected a month's block design as theirs. Each participant was then given a schedule as to how many blocks to make for a given month (i.e., January=1, December=4, etc.) and each participant is guaranteed 12 blocks for their choice as there are 12 members participating.
Fat Quarter of the Month
Simply bring one or more fat 1/4's ( fabric measuring 18" by 22") that represent that month's fabric theme to the business meeting of the first Saturday of the month when you arrive. For each fat 1/4 you bring you'll be entered to win a bundle of 5 fat 1/4's. If you don't win at that meeting you will get a second chance in December when we have a drawing for one lucky winner for the remaining fat 1/4's.
Library PrivilegesAll members have access to our extensive lending library which includes books, patterns and videos. All items may be checked out for one month.
